Near Shore Terminals and CBM Solutions

Near Shore Terminals and CBM Solutions

Moorsure delivers mooring solutions for novel and challenging floating systems, providing design, supply, and through-life services to all offshore sectors. One of Moorsure’s focus sectors is design and supply of nearshore terminal solutions for both existing and developing markets.

We start with solution agnostic engineering assessment for nearshore import and export terminals for both the commercial products of today and the products of tomorrow; including refrigerated and cryongenic temperatures.
Should a CALM buoy or Jetty be the appropriate solution, Moorsure will happily work with trusted providers to develop this project with you.
However, a CBM system ends up as the most cost effective and the showcase of this video. Moorsure designs and supplies anchors, chains, buoys, hoses, telemetry and the pipeline end manifold for a complete terminal, while providing simple interfaces for the pipeline and onshore facilities contractors.

WORLD FORUM OFFSHORE WIND

MOORSURE JOINS WFO

Recognising the global shift towards renewables, in 2020 Moorsure joined the WFO (World Forum Offshore Wind) and their floating offshore committee.

This new industry faces a number of key mooring design and supply chain challenges which will be vital to the industry meeting the renewable energy supply targets many nations are setting to achieve. Reliability, integrity, serviceability and a dependable supply chain are but a few of the important mooring related issues.

The team at Moorsure look forward to working with other WFO members; contributing expertise and helping shape the future of the offshore floating wind industry.

About World Forum Offshore Wind

World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) is the world’s only organization 100% focused on promoting offshore wind energy on a global scale. WFO is registered as a non-profit organization (e.V.) in Germany, with offices in Hamburg, Tokyo, Taipei and New York. WFO’s international members represent the complete offshore wind value chain including utility companies, manufacturers, service firms as well as other non-profit organisations. WFO’s unique global profile facilitates access to governmental and international forums in order to open new offshore wind markets and to advocate for global offshore wind growth.

Moorsure signed up for new offshore import terminal

MOORSURE SIGNED UP FOR NEW OFFSHORE IMPORT TERMINAL

We are pleased to announce that Moorsure has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) to provide a new offshore import terminal in West Africa.

Moorsure had previously undertaken work on concept studies of the import and export systems for the refinery to select the most CAPEX efficient solution when balanced with the requirements of various project stakeholders. These Pre-FEED studies investigated more than 10 options (with many more not making the shortlist) and incorporated analysis of site selection criteria, terminal utilisation, pipeline and pump sizing, as well as other studies such as optimal pump rates and mooring designs. The concept selection also considered CAPEX, technical risk and complexity, cash flow, and expandability for future project phases.

Moorsure shall now commence the subsequent project phases including detailed engineering, procurement and installation oversight of two mooring systems, two pipeline systems and a facility wide telemetry and control system.

Offspring at ADIPEC 2018

Offspring at ADIPEC 2018

Offspring International will be exhibiting at ADIPEC 2018 in Abu Dhabi, 12-15 November, on stand 5310 in hall 5 with Offspring’s official agent in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Al Ghaith Energy. Offspring International (OIL) specialises in equipment for mooring, offloading and control systems to optimise terminal operations both offshore and quayside.

The latest additions to Offspring’s range include Offloading Hoses from Manuli Hydraulics’ Oil & Marine Division, as well as, Offshore Ops – a fully OCIMF SMOG 2015 compliant Integrated Terminal Management system. Offspring offers Manuli single and double carcass floating marine and submarine hoses, dock hoses and long length conduit hoses for offloading at SPM and CBM terminals and shuttle tankers.

Manuli hoses are produced under the OCIMF GMPHOM 2009 guidelines and ISO 9001 industrial standards, with hose performance certified by class.

Enhanced Terminal Monitoring

Offshore Ops’ system provides ‘live’ data on a wide range of operational and environmental factors, significantly reducing risk and enhancing mooring and offloading safety and performance.

OIL’s Offshore Ops telemetry system has been successfully deployed at multiple SPM buoy locations globally, including Middle East, South Africa, South East Asia and North America.

For more information on Offspring International’s range of mooring and offloading systems visit stand 5310, hall 5 at ADIPEC or call +44 (0)1384 453880, and email: mail@offspringinternational.com

Enhance Mooring & Offloading Operations with OIL at SLOM 2018

Enhance Mooring & Offloading Operations with OIL at SLOM 2018

Offspring International (OIL) will be exhibiting SLOM 2018 in Quito, Ecuador, 3-5 October. OIL has co-authored three papers for the conference with Offspring’s managing director Dave Rowley presenting ‘Case Study of Telemetry System for LOOP Terminal in the US GOM’, sales and marketing director Mark Brooks presenting ‘Discussion on Rope Constructions, Materials and what it means in the real world’, and regional sales manager Egbert Wibbelink presenting ‘Continuous Long Length Rubber Hoses’.

The Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP) is one of the busiest terminals in North America and the only deepwater oil port in the USA. OIL’s Offshore Ops telemetry system has successfully operated on one of the SALM buoys at the LOOP terminal for over a year and is now being deployed to all the buoys. Offshore Ops’ fully OCIMF SMOG 2015 compliant Integrated Terminal Management System provides ‘live’ data on a wide range of operational and environmental factors, significantly reducing risk and enhancing mooring and offloading safety and performance.

SPM Ropes in the Real World

Single Point Mooring rope performance is determined by several factors. Offspring’s presentation looks at various rope constructions and examines the impact of their characteristics as well as looking at the effect of material selection. Offspring has over 25 years’ experience in selecting the best combination of construction and material for SPM operations and offshore environment.

Benefits of Rubber Hoses

Continuous long length hoses present many opportunities to the offshore industry for a range of applications including extended well testing, early field development and use in mid-water transfer systems. Rubber hoses are lighter, easier to handle and quicker to install than steel pipes resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.
